RE: Restaurant Pickup/Delivery
Grocery Store Updates

Dear Resident,

We have had ongoing communication with Marlboro Restaurants and our list of those delivering and offering curbside pickup has continued to grow.  It is particularly heartening to see that some restaurants that had been closed have since reopened.  The Restaurant list includes links to websites, social media pages, on line menus and delivery options. We continue to update the list and post to social media, the Township website and send via email so please check back often.   We suggest calling the restaurant ahead to confirm their hours and policies, to ensure that there have been no schedule changes, and to limit your social contact.

For those that are able, consider ordering out two or three meals a week.  Friday night pizza, Saturday night dinner and Sunday morning bagels may add much-needed variety and normalcy to your family meals.  Our restaurants have supported our community, religious institutions, schools, our town events, and more, and now it is time for us to support them.  Try a new restaurant or a new cuisine.  Download Grubhub or Doordash apps for more options.  Even consider purchasing a gift certificate from your favorite place which will provide an extra boost during this difficult time.  If a restaurant you frequent is not on the list, please ask them to email .

RESTAURANT TAKEOUT/DELIVERY LIST

I want to personally thank our supermarkets and food stores.  They have gone above and beyond to serve our community.  From personal shopping, to delivery, to curbside pickup they have been with us every step of the way.  I also want to acknowledge residents who heeded the request to only buy what was needed.  The supply chain has, for the most part, caught up and stores are able to restock.  Our grocery store list is also updated with hours, special hours for at-risk, and services.

GROCERY STORES

For at-risk residents, Marlboro Cares, founded by Councilman Jeff Cantor and Superintendent Eric Hibbs, will deliver food and medication to Marlboro Township residents in need.   Please email for information. I have heard from many residents that this program has been a literal lifesaver, especially to those who do not have nearby family to assist them.  I am grateful to Councilman Cantor and Dr. Hibbs for their steadfast service to our community.

When we reach the other side of this state of emergency (and we will) we will want Marlboro to have the same wealth of retail and dining options as today, critical to our status as a premier place to live, work and raise a family.

Thank you for your support.

Mayor Jon Hornik
