Winter Storm Quinn Update #5
March 8, 2018
5:00 pm

Dear Resident,

We have been in contact with JCP&L throughout the day. Marlboro now has 678 residents without power, down from a high of 4,600. JCP&L has not yet posted restoration estimates for these outages, but will when they are available. Outage information and updates can be found on line at JCP&L Outage Maps or you can download their free JCP&L app. Power restoration remains a priority for us. While many may receive power tonight, others may not. Please plan accordingly.

Marlboro Greens Adult Community has had their power restored. Regina Road and the surrounding streets that were blocked will reopen by 6pm. Our Office of Emergency Management is on site with JCP&L to evaluate opening Sherbrook/Halifax. Other roads have downed wires but the residents can leave their streets and emergency vehicles have access. Again, we remind you to treat all downed wires as live and dangerous.

The Marlboro Recreation Center will remain open until 9pm tonight for residents to warm and charge electronics and medical devices.

If you need assistance please call the police at 911. Do not to call the Police for power outage updates. It is imperative that their lines stay open for emergency calls.

This has been a difficult storm and I thank you all for your patience and cooperation. Please take a moment and check on elderly neighbors and those who may be in need of assistance.

Mayor Jon Hornik
