Winter Storm Quinn Update #4
March 8, 2018
9:45 am

Dear Resident,

As the Township continues to clear from the storm, please note the following:
Mayor Hornik spoke with JCP&L this morning. Currently there are an estimated 1900 Marlboro residents that remain without power. This number is down from the 4600 peak yesterday. JCP&L remains in the "cut and clear" phase of its operation to remove live lines and trees to make roads safe. Unfortunately because of the magnitude of the storm, this phase will continue until the afternoon and we will not have estimates of repair time until then.

While some of those who are without power will be restored today, others will likely not be completed until tomorrow. If you are without power at this time we do not believe your power will be restored before late afternoon/evening or tomorrow and you should plan accordingly.

There are four roads in Marlboro with downed trees and power lines cutting off access to/from those streets. Marlboro OEM and the County OEM are in contact with JCP&L and those roads are priority. We remind residents to steer clear of power lines. Assume all are live and dangerous.

Mayor Hornik has directed the Marlboro OEM to open the Recreation Center to open as a charging and warming station for those are without power in Marlboro. The facility will open at 10am this morning. The address is 1980 Recreation Way off Wyncrest Road.

If you need assistance for health issues please call the police at 911. Do not to call the Police for snow removal or power outage updates. It is imperative that their lines stay open for emergency calls.

We urge caution when shoveling snow as the activity raises the risk for heart attacks and other health issues. If you have an emergency, we WILL get to you. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
