Update #1 Winter Storm

Dear Residents:

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our area beginning late this evening through Monday morning. Although the weather experts are still debating the ultimate track of the storm, Western Monmouth County is currently included in storm advisory area.

The Marlboro Office of Emergency Management reminds us that during snow storms, all vehicles, garbage cans and basketball hoops are to be removed from the roadways.
To stay updated, please visit our “Communications for Residents” section on the Township Website www.marlboro-nj.gov/resident-communications and sign up for any or all of the communication options available. You can register your phones for Police reverse 9-1-1 calls and text message updates, sign up for Township email blasts and find us on Facebook www.facebook.com/marlborotownship.nj and Twitter @MarlboroTwp, as well as on my Facebook page.

We remind you that power outages should be reported directly to JCP&L using one of the many methods available. You may call JCP&L at 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) to report your outage, click here to report your outage online or here for text messaging. Outage information is also available on JCP&L’s 24/7 Power Center Maps and on the JCP&L Facebook page. Please immediately report downed wires to JCP&L or the Marlboro Division of Police. Never go near a downed power line, even if you think it is no longer carrying electricity.

As always, the Marlboro Police are available 24 hours a day at (732) 536-0100. For emergencies, please do not hesitate to call 9-1-1. We will continue to update the public through email, reverse 9-1-1 and social media, as necessary. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and assistance.
