ROAD CONSTRUCTION NOTICE – Week of July 22, 2019
****CURBSIDE LAWN DEBRIS COLLECTION IS COMPLETE UNTIL FALL – As per recycling calendar mailed to your home and posted on the website, no lawn debris may be curbside as the summer road program is in progress. Debris in the streets clogs storm drains, exacerbates flooding, is a hazard to pedestrians, motorcycles and bicyclists and should be removed immediately. Review the letter emailed from DPW HERE.
For more information about Mayor Hornik’s 4-part Road Repair Initiative, roads scheduled to be repaired, and the process and notification of on-going work, please visit www.marlboro-nj.gov and click the “Road Repair” tab. Updates are made via Social Media, email and on the Township website. Communication options can be found by visiting www.marlboro-nj.gov and clicking the ‘Communications for Residents’ button on the right hand side of the home page.
Please note that all projects are weather permitting. The scheduled time frame for this work is weather-dependent, and every effort will be made to minimize any inconvenience to residents during this time. ROADS TO REMAIN OPEN – CONSTRUCTION ADVISORY – POLICE PRESENT
The roads will remain open and accessible during construction, although motorists are advised to use caution through the work zone.
Steeplechase Drive, Edie drive and Jean Court – Construction crews will be replacing concrete curb ramps along with spot curb repairs Thursday and Friday, July 25 and 26.
WMUA Sewer Project Beginning Monday, July 22, the WMUA forced main sewer construction project will begin nighttime operations between the hours of 8:00pm and 6:00am. It is anticipated that this work will be completed within one week. Route 79 will remain open, but you can expect varying traffic patterns. Please heed Police Officer instructions, construction signage and traffic control devices. Residents directly affected have received notices. Thank you for your cooperation. If possible, we suggest that you avoid the area. Final paving on Brandon Road will be scheduled at a later date.
MILL AND FILL – ROADS REMAIN OPEN
Clubhouse Lane – Milling and paving continues this week.
ROAD CONSTRUCTION PREVIEW (MAIN THOROUGHFARES)
Amboy Road – Paving from Tennent Road to recently completed roadwork will begin in August.
Wooleytown Road – Concrete and drainage work were completed in April. Paving work will begin in August.
Spring Valley Road – This is a shared services agreement with Old Bridge. Roadwork will begin in September.
Pleasant Valley Road – FEMA Grant awarded August 13, 2019. Work will take approximately 4 months to complete.
Peasley Drive –HUD grant received in the amount of $120,370 for the resurfacing of Peasley Drive. Project will be going out to bid shortly.
